SJSU Spring 2020

Hey everyone! I just decided to start a thread since no one had made one yet. I'm curious to see how the application pool is for this semester. Feel free to leave any questions, comments, and/or your impaction score! (I still have to take the TEAS so I'll comment my impaction score when I do!)

Hi! Thank you so much for making this post, as I was wondering the same thing. My GPA (currently, still needing to take Microbiology) is 4.0 and my TEAS score is 93.3%. That would leave my current impaction score as 7.11 if I calculated it right. I'm open to any questions as well c: I hope everyone is doing great!

Wow, you're definitely in with those stats! Btw, how did you study for the TEAS? I'm struggling rn at the moment ?

I can't be too sure yet, cause I haven't taken microbiology and it would bring my GPA down if I didn't do too well in it :c Honestly, I only had three weeks to study for the TEAS so it was more of a cram for me. But, I took a full length practice test before I started to study so I knew what I was not good at. Focus on that more than what you know you're better at (for me, it was math and science because I was fresh out of physiology). I bought a few more full length practice test so I could get used to how the questions are worded. Don't be scared about the difficulty, just be careful in reading the questions. Good luck and lemme know if you have any more questions <3

Hi guys! I heard that those applying for Fall start have Nutrition 8 (NUFS 8) as a part of their prerequisites. Since we are applying for spring start, we don't have to take that class right?

Hey! I'm taking nutrition this fall because I've heard from some people that we'll have to take this class anyway. I'm not too sure though. Even though it's not currently a requirement, I think it's best to take it if you can.

Also, don't be afraid to comment your impaction score or to ask questions guys! I don't want this thread to be barely active like last years (no shade lol)

Nursing applications have me so stressed rn? but my impaction score is 7.02. Are you guys applying to other schools as well?

Wow, you're fine! I'm only applying to SJSU (which is risky ikik) but I'm hopeful!

I do have a question (I can't find a clear answer online). Do we do a drug/background test as part of our application or just after we get provisionally admitted (if I do)? I just don't want to miss anything.

I believe we submit the tests after our provisional acceptance

Hello everyone! My impaction score is 6.78.

Same here! Why are we such risk takers? ?

When is everyone going to start applications?
