Silence Post Interview

Hello!

I'm a new grad an was lucky enough to land an interview for the ED in the hospital I currently work in as a PCA. I first interviewed with HR, then with the director of the ED 8 days ago. Since then, crickets. My question is, is it appropriate to call or email to find out my status? What would you write to avoid sounding entitled or pushy?

Thanks for your help!

Yes, at this point it is appropriate to send an email or call. Thank them for the interview, tell them ways you think you are a good fit (2-3 sentences) and then inquire whether the position is still open, reiterating your interest.
