SICU interview

Desperately seeking some advice! I graduated with my BSN last May and have been working on a surgical telemetry floor for the past 10 months. I recently landed an interview in our SICU and needless to say it's my dream job. I feel as though I do have an advantage since it is at my hospital (it would be an internal transfer) and I know almost all of the attending surgeons and surgical residents, know the charting system, hospital resources, etc. However, I have not had much interview experience as an RN since the job I'm at now was the first one I interviewed for. Plus, i have no critical care experience. The opening was for an RN with at least 1 year of experience, so I feel like I really need to stand out. Any tips on what I can expect?! So nervous and really want this job!

Since it's an internal transfer, your evaluation (from tele) will be your biggest asset.

Don't worry about the critical care experience, they'll train you for that. Just be confident and eager to learn. Highlight how your prioritization skills and being a team player.
