I am going to my second interview for a sick call position at a local prison. I have been an LPN for 9 years but just became an RN a few months ago. I do have about 7 years acute med surg experience as an LPN and was an EMT-B before I was an LPN. I want to know what this position is typically like? I am going to ask to shadow as well. I have some pretty bad back issues from my med Surg days and my back spasms if I stand on my feet for too long (like 2 hours+ ish). Will I be mostly seated during this job? They told me that I wouldn't be doing med pass often because in my state LPNs can't triage so they do the med passes. Let me know - thanks!
