Should I even try?.....

Ok, I am feeling so discouraged right now. I am a 32 year old mom and wife who just returned to school after 10 years. I decided to go back to school for nursing because I like to help people and also for my family. I started in January this year but had to withdraw because of some serious family issues. Unfortunately, I withdrew to late and got a WF. Now I have an F for AP1. I have since retook this class and passed with an "A". I am so concerned that this F will ruin my chances of getting into Nursing school because the competition is so tough. I keep kicking myself for waiting so late to withdraw. Now I have an F on my transcript. The School averages both classes, so my F will show as a possible "C".

Not sure IF i should even continue on.....:crying2:

Anyone out there that have or had a similar situation?

It's your first class. You'll be fine. Take some more classes and get good grades and it will be okay. They are not going to focus on one grade. They look at overall GPA.

The best advice I could give is to ask the nursing program coordinator for whatever program(s) you're applying to.
