Should I email the manager again?

Hi all,

I graduated nursing school in July and was actively looking for a job. I applied to a few new grad positions at UCSD La Jolla (I did my final clinical rotation here and I also volunteer) where I actually brought in my portfolios and introduced myself to the managers. I received great feedback from the managers and was hopeful! However due to some unfortunate circumstances, the CA BRN took a lot longer than the rest of my class to process my application. Long story short, I strongly felt that because I didn't have an NCLEX date yet (they asked), the managers had to move forward. I took and passed the NCLEX in September and am still very interested in the new grad positions. I know they are opening up for 2020 soon so my question is, should I email the managers I spoke to (they gave me their cards & told me to "keep in touch") and tell them I'm still interested and am excited for future positions? Should I drop by with updated portfolios? What should I say that won't come off as desperate! haha, thank you in advance!

I would not drop by with updated portfolios. I would, however, send an email that outlines your last meeting, expresses your continued enthusiasm and that states now that you have passed NCLEX you would very much like to pursue any opportunities they may have for you.
