I am from northern Ohio and I just received my STNA license. I was offered a job at a Home Health Care Agency for 10.00/hr full time. What are some questions that I should ask before considering this job? Do they pay for your gas? How does home health care work? Thanks so much!!

I don't know what STNA is either, and I have worked in HH a long time, though in another state.
There is a Home Health thread or forum (?) here that might net you more responses. Good luck!

Hello. One of my jobs was as an RN at a home health care agency. The nursing assistants at that agency accepted assignments to either a rotating variety of patients or to a "regular patient case". They performed tasks mostly related to help with daily living: bathing, feeding, changing diapers for incontinent patients, changing bed linens, and transfers from bed to wheelchair. Some of these nurses accompanied their patients to doctor appointments . In addition, nursing assistants also did some "light house keeping" tasks such as washing dishes, washing clothes, and preparing simple meals. At this agency, there was no extra pay for gas expense to travel to patient assignments. Best wishes!
