Shorthand?

I was just wondering if anyone uses shorthand when taking their notes? If so, what kind and how long did it take you to learn it?

I don't use official shorthand per se but I use my own shorthand. During A&P and Micro, there was a lot of info that you had to write during lecture so I developed my own abbreviations and went from there. I am an Administrative Assistant by day and I still do my own abbreviations while taking notes and get by the same way. Short hand is not hard to learn though, there are books on Amazon that you can buy. I know basic shorthand and it took me about one month to learn by myself. HTH.
