Short Waiting List

Who didn't have a problem getting into nursing school? I am hoping to start the LPN program in January or August, but I am getting a little worried that my wait may be longer than that. I have read that alot of people have had to wait for 2+ years to get into school. I am currently in the Air Force and my enlistment is up in January. The LPN program starts in January and then one starts in August as well. I am hoping to get in in January so I can transition straight from the military to full time college student. Is there anyone out there who didn't have to wait very long to get into school?:(

I was accepted the first time I applied to LPN school and I was #2 alternate for RN school, but I was accepted 3 weeks later. I'm in central Florida.

I'm in South Mississippi. Anyone know about the waiting lists for that area?
