Sheridan Tech

Hi guys!! I'm new to the site & everything I've read so far is awesome. I am thinking of applying to Sheridan Technical in broward county & was wondering if there are any graduates out there who can give any advice or suggestions or anything!! I'm anxious about starting nursing school & any advice is greatly appreciated!!! Look forward to hearing or reading from you.

I graduated from Atlantic Technical Center (sister school of Sheridan). The program is very intense, but I feel like it is very good. I am scheduled to take the Nclex Dec. 3, I am also planning to use Suzanne's plan if I can. Only two people so far have take the Nclex from my class... they both passed. Sheridan, Atlantic Tech, and McFatter claim to have a very good passing rate.

im also applying to either sheridan or mcfatters nursing program. wondering whats the process like to apply

methodticalz- the process consisted of first taking the TABE and then taking the TEAS test. I actually found the TEAS easier than the Tabe, but.. thats just me. I am acutally now in the process of studying for the nclex (pn). I am taking it Friday am. I have used Suzanne's plan, but I am still very nervous. This is the best web site, it helps to calm me down to read how everyone else felt about taking it. By the way, good luck to you at Sheridan or McFatter.

thanks mewsacct, guess i will go study for the TABE then the TEAS. what does the TABE consist of? i wil be starting in march so i have enough time to study for both of them. anyone know of any good websites that help you study for both exams? and good luck on your test friday. keep me posted

Methodticalz-

First there is an orientation for the school at that point you take the TABE (or a day or so after). After you pass that (there is remidiation so dont worry, they will help you thru it) then you have to have the nursing orientation - where they tell you every step of the plan for your year of school. I cant remember if the physical is before or after this orientation. The TEAS is.. (also remediation for that if needed). Then you start school. I feel almost like I am in a dreamworld from studying so much for the monster test I have in about 48 hrs- I will write more if I can remember more.:typing

hey thats mewsacct you been real insightful i feel like i went to a orientation already with all the helpful info you gave me. i guess im just gonna study my stuff would hate to do any remedial classes. and you sound like u been studying alot i bet u gonna ace that test
