Shadowing/Interviewing at Duke/UNC

So I am a new graduate and have recently relocated to the Raleigh-Chapel Hill area. I have had two interview/shadow experiences for new graduate positions; the first was at Duke and the second was at UNC. The UNC one was a phone interview because I had not moved down yet, followed by the shadow part once I relocated. However, I was denied for each job after both interviews and shadows. I am most likely now going to interview for another unit at UNC. So I ask to people who have experience with this, is there something I'm doing wrong?Where I relocated from the hospitals usually don't do shadows as part of the interview process so I am not familiar with it. I know they are looking for candidates who are curious and ask good questions during the shadow, which I definitely try to do. I also feel that I got along well with the nurses I shadowed so I don't understand. Any advice? Thanks!

How did your interview go with the manager? I was hired from a shadow/interview and I have been a shadower. Sometimes, I felt really good with an interviewee, but there was information that I did not have and was not privy to how the interview went with manager.

From MANY failed interviews, I know that is near impossible to get decent feedback from managers, so I won't tell you to ask them.

Hopefully something will work out! Good Luck!

I felt that the interview with the manager had gone well in both situations, but I guess I was wrong. For UNC, I was under the impression that the manager would not have scheduled a shadow date with me had the phone interview not gone well, but she did. I also felt my experience with the nurse I shadowed with at UNC went very well. For Duke, I felt both went well also. I wish I knew more information from the managers than just not being a "good fit" so I can prepare myself better.
