I am in my last semester of nursing school, and I have been offered an opportunity to follow a very experienced home health nurse just to see what home health is like and to learn a thing or two (on my own, not part of my school's curriculum). I am very interested in doing home health nursing after getting some med/surg experience for a while, so I would love to take her up on the offer.
My dilemma is that I really won't have time to spare to do this during the semester unless I could somehow develop a service learning project out of it, and count the time I spend with her as my service learning hours. This was just thrown out to me a few minutes ago so I am brainstorming for ideas of what kind of service learning I could do with this opportunity.
Any ideas...????
