Now that I've finished microbiology now I can focus on the LVN-RN program. I'm very excited because it's been a real struggle to get to the LVN finished and then it seemed like there were hurdles everywhere I went in order to take microbiology. Now I'm finished!!!! I just have to find a program that will accept me.
I would like to know if anybody can give me some information on what I can do to prepare myself for the actual transition from LVN-RN. What tools can I use to study while I'm waiting? Our LVN program was taught by NP's so for theory they gave us a lot of RN material, but of course we were only VN students. What is 3rd & 4th semester like for RN students? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Hi! I finished the LPN program this past summer and am now going into my last RN semester.
The 3rd semester for us was Med Surg II, Pharmacology II, and Psych Nursing.
The 4th semester will be Med Surg III, and Leadership.
Good luck on your RN journey!!

I'm enrolled in an LPN-to-RN transition ADN program.
We are taking the nursing classes in the following order: LPN-to-RN role transitions, peds, OB, psych, med/surg, community based nursing, and leadership. We are presently taking CBN (community based nursing), are scheduled to take leadership during late January through early March, and will graduate in the middle of March.
In our LVN program we took separate classes for psych nursing, OB, Peds, and leadership. So I'm familiar with all of that, I can just brush up for those classes. Thanks for all the information.
