Seeking Experienced Advice

Nursing Students General Students

Hello,

I am going into my second year of University, but will be transferring after this year to attend a Continuing Care Assistant program and gain permanent residency in Canada. My question is that I'm torn on what career to pursue afterwards. The thing is... I have generalized anxiety and haven't even been able to learn how to drive or have full time employment because of it. I do believe that once I have this under control that I could pursue a health care related career that is somewhat low stress with the most important factor being that I enjoy it. I've never really enjoyed working and my work ethic isn't as strong as it should be.

The three careers I have most gravitated to are practical nursing, recreational therapy or respiratory therapy.

To be honest, I would love to become a health care professional who helps people with anxiety disorders with a specialization in animal assisted therapy. I love health care, animals and would be able to truly understand people with anxiety disorders.

Anyways, I would just like some experienced advice on the above mentioned three careers or any careers that fit what I am looking for.

Finally, I want to be able to live a comfortable life and will have significant student debt, so salary is also important in my choice as well as job security.

Thank you.
