security clearance

I wanted to know if anyone can tell me what type of security clearance is needed to work in the VA hospital as a nurse. I know someone who recently lost his military (AD) clearance b/c of financial issues and my credit report isn't spectacular. i'm worried.....i really want this job, but not to just lose it within a couple of weeks when the results come back.

Hi:

Uumm, I don't think you need a security clearance like in the Military. You will have a background check done on you (professional license at the very least). If I find out otherwise I will post.

If you have concerns you might want to speak to the nursing recruiter at the VA you would like to work at.

Best Wishes on your journey!

Hello Mizzyfrufru,

I am very new Active Duty and inprocessing now which means I am too new to know much! My orders do list that a security clearance was necessary but I really don't know what that means.

Another new person here has said her credit history is not favorable...she has the cearance.
