Has anyone interviewed with new york presbyterian?? Basically I had a phone interview, then a few weeks later was called in to meet with the nurse recruiter and unit director which went well. A week or so later I was called in for another interview with the Nurse Director...which only lasted 15-20 mins or so. I thought it went ok and at the end she said "The recruiter will be in touch with you"....It's been a week and I am just wondering how long it takes to hear back from them. I am so nervous and really really want this job...any advice????
Thanks

Hi, I was just reading this thread and see that you two might be able to help me out. It seems you both have had recent interviews/meetings. I also have a meeting with a Nurse Reruiter and Director on Friday and was wondering what kind of questions are asked and how the meeting generally flows. I have been a nurse for many years, NICU (2) and Case Management (7). However since being a stay at home mom for the last 3 I feel a bit like I am starting all over again! Any help is much apreciated! My hope is to get back into NICU again, but that it's been 10 years since I worked the floor.
Thank you so much!

For my experience (I work in labor and delivery) they asked me a LOT of scenario questions. I think out of both the recruiter and director I was asked about 14 questions about "what I would do" situations. I just made sure I quickly responded and didn't take a a lot of pauses. There was one question I was asked which I was not able to answer which had to deal with cultural relations between coworkers. But I explained that the culture in Orlando, Fl is different than here in NYC so there really isn't usually any clashes/differences. So if you can't answer anything, make sure you have a good reason why you can't answer it. Just don't say: "I don't know."
So just make sure you are familiar with the hospital and why you want to be apart of their team. And of course make sure you are good at what you do so you can answer the scenario questions thoroughly and promptly.
Good luck to you
