Just curious...Where is everyone going to school at? What kind of NP program are you in? How are you liking it?

At the end of the 2 yr program I'll have my MSN & will be an adult acute/critical care NP. I'm debating whether to sub-specialize in oncology, cardio or just general care. I feel like right now I am just interested in absolutely everything! So we'll see. :)-Christine

ACNPstudent 5 Posts Mar 27, 2006 Hi, I am finishing up my first year at UMass Medical Graduate School of Nursing in the acute/critical care nurse practitioner program. I am enjoying it very much. We don't start clinicals until August. I am looking forward to getting into the units. I will say there is a strong emphasis on research. I also have had the luxury of working on a community service project with the critical care committee at UMass Memorial on improving family satisfaction in the ICUs. I think the program is great and really feel that I am being trained for the role.
