Hello, I will hopefully be graduating in July with my LPN in North Carolina. However, shortly thereafter I will be moving back to my home state of Michigan. I was wondering if I could take the NCLEX-PN in Michigan and become licensed there as well without being first licensed in North Carolina? Anybody have any ideas or advice as to what I should do? Thanks :loveya:

:nurse:From what I have heard from others but please don't quote me :stonesee if you can get more information, because I go to school in New jersey but I live in NY and my DON said that all you have to do is when you get your certificate of completion from your school you have to use that and apply for the NCLEX in the state where you want to be licensed as long as you have proof of your completion of the LPN course you shouldn't have any problems.
Thank you so much:D. I thought that is what I had to do but I just wasn't sure about it. I'm just nervous about finding a job after I get my LPN. I know about the only place I can find work is in a doctor's office or an LTC facility. Which isn't bad, but I do want to go onto get my RN so I would like the experience of an LTC facility. How much does the NCLEX-PN cost, do you know?
I am trying to find that out right now:D! I just posted a new thread in the LVN/LPN corner to see if anyone can get back to me so I will keep you posted but I think the prices are different in each state not sure!:redbeathe
