Hello, I am in my first year at college and I am working on my Associates degree. I was wondering, do I need all this Algebra for Nursing?

Whatever the program(s) you're applying to asks for, you need to take it.

Basic algebra is very handy for drug calculations and pharmacology.

If it's in the program, yes.
I had to take 2 remedial math classes before I was even able to take college algebra and statistics. I have gone on to take pre calc and am even looking into a calculus class to keep me sharp. I hated math and am so glad I stuck with it and diligently did the work. It's really helped me in Chemistry and have also helped me begin studying drug calcs

I am also taking remedial algebra before I can take college algebra. It is a requirement in our program You don't get into nursing school until it is done.
