School help

Hey nurses,

I went to bmcc to pursue a nursing career in 2011 and finished most pre reqs with an A or B+ the one class i got a c- in was mat104 math for health sciences. Bmcc told me I should start looking for other schools since they dont accept students who got a bad grade in that class.

What should I do?

I also havent taken any science courses such as chem, should I take it at this school and transfer?

If the persons who told you that BMCC won't accept you with such low grade in math is one with authority to do so; there is your answer. Make tracks and find another program.

At this stage you are no different than any other pre-nursing student. You just need to find a program.... Personally I'd start that process soon as possible before your science classes are considered "stale" and you'll have to repeat. This can be anywhere from 2-5 years or long as ten, but either way again sooner you get into a nursing program the better.
