Scholarship

Some of you had asked about scholarships for nursing students. I couldn't find that thread so I'm posting the info here.

This is the HRSA scholarship. It pays 100% of your tuition, books, fees, etc. plus you get a monthly stipend. It is a federal government scholarship so they do require that you practice in an underserved area for 2 years after you graduate. (Very small price to pay for an all expenses paid college education, if you asked me:)) Naturally, its extremely competitive: 250 awards each year and an average of 9,000 applications. You also have to be a US citizen.

I tried applying for this scholarship every year but I was never selected. Now I'm done with nursing school and don't need it anymore, but hopefully some of you will apply and have better results. The deadline is May 27 so get at it now if interested.

Go for it!
