hello to everyone. i'd like to know what's the difference between EB3 & shcedule A for immigrant petition for nurses. I am one of those nurses who filed this july. right now, i have my EAD & ss number. still waiting for my license. What I noticed in the I-140 filed for me by my employer is Skilled/professional. Isn't there like a separate one for nurses which is the schedule A. I'm worried because the immigration might not approve the petition because it is filed incorrectly.

Hi and welcome to the site
Schedule A no longer exists for nurses and we now come under EB3 so your file should not get rejected although I can not guarantee that
How can you apply in July if you are still waiting for license? Files should be complete and you will need VSC for AOS
thanks. i dont know vsc & aos. i was one of those who filed on the last minute. i got my ead 2 weeks ago, my ss number a week ago and im still waiting for my license. i checked on the license verification of the board of nursing of california and my name is already there.

Where did you finish your nursing school? As far as I know, if you finish your nursing outside the US in a non-english country, you will need a visascreen(vsc) to be able to apply for AOS. May I know as to what type of visa you've been in the US prior to your AOS? Thanks..
finished bsn at dr. carlos lanting. i'm done with visascreen before i applied for I485. it arrived 2 days before the deadline for application. i'm just not familiar with the aos & vsc abbreviations. now i know. i have no idea that those were the things i've been fixing for the past few months....
btw, i'm on a tourist visa before i applied for change of status and ead. i got lucky coz my timing is great coz they temporarily lifted retrogression last july.
