So I've completed all the pre-reqs and now I am taking microbiology at SCCC this semester.
I am working full time while attending this class and I am commuting all the way from the city. Not too bad considering it's only one day a week.
Anyone that is applying for the 2012 day program, chime in!
Here are my grades, how are my chances?
ENG 101 - B
PSYCH - A
BIO 130 - A
BIO 132 - A
MICRO - ?
Should I retake Eng, or is that good enough? Plus I took Eng 101 back in 2005, does that still count?

When I applied in Nov 2010 I took
Standard freshman comp honors: B+
A&P 1 &2 - B+
Micro - A
Psych honors - B
Sociology honors- B
But I also took a bunch of other courses like dev. psych, human ecology, stats, algebra, pre-calc, emergency medical care, health concepts, biomedical ethics, etc.. I got in with a 3.5 Phi Theta Kappa, Pi Sigma Alpha, cancer research program from stony brook university, certified EMT and the honors program in sccc. But I know many people who got in without micro and are still short of few classes, most of them have previous bachelors or associate degrees but not all. If you dont have a C you absolutely have a chance. Just apply early. Actually November is probably the perfect time to apply.
I highly recommend you take the Emergency Medical Care class, it isn't mandatory but it has helped me tremendously so far (in fundamentals of nursing)! Another friend of mine who is currently a student in SBU BSN program also took the Emergency Medical Care program and he said that it was very helpful.
