How many of you found the Saunder's Comprehensive NCLEX useful as a study guide while taking nursing courses? This was recommended to me by a student who was in the program I am about to start on Monday, 9/27. I looked it up on the internet and it was published in 2001. I know that the NCLEX format changed this year. However, would you recommend it for critical thinking help with nursing school?
Thanks.

I am using it now in my last semester. It is a good review book--well organized material, stimulating critical-thinking questions. I haven't used any other NCLEX books so I can't compare. As for the NCLEX format changing, it really hasn't changed all that much. Supposedly, only a few questions on the NCLEX are of the new type. The majority of the questions continue to be straight multiple choice.

The Saunders comprehensive NCLEX RN review I used had examples of the new format questions. BTW, I passed first try with no formal review class...75 questions in only 42 minutes.
