Hi everybody,
I don't think it's too late to wish you an Happy New Year :)
I've been a nurse for about 10 years and I'm ready for a change. A friend told me about Saudi Arabia last week and I'm very interested. She gave me an agency: Ziegler. The thing is I don't want to stay there for a year. So I did my research on this site and the posts about this subject are old. Can anyone share there experience, do you know any agency that offers a 3 months contract?? An agency that allows me to travel with my husband?
Thanks a bunch

Not an expert, but virtually all contracts that I have seen for Saudi and similar nations, have generally for two years minimum. And to my knowledge, bringing in family members is not likely.
There are a lot of legal and religious (which in ME are often the same) issues with bringing in non-Saudis to work, especially. It is expensive, complicated and time consuming. It is also a difficult adjustment/orientation that would not be prudent or financially viable for only three months. Add in the work of getting permit for the spouse, makes it a poor deal/poor risk for the employer. They are partially responsible for your admit to the nation, and if either of you break laws, they will be held at least partly responsible. This is a risk that most employers will not take unless the contract is extensive.
Add in the large number of nurses available from the Philippines and other areas, that will put no such preconditions on availability. This means that those are more likely to be picked.
I hope that you find what you would like, but suspect that it will be hard to find.
Thanks a lot for taking time to reply and for the infos
