Tweety I haven't noticed that at our place, but our workers tend to be older

Stars that would be nice to gift him those things

NJ22 I have lists like that too

Glad you're feeling better Ado

Thankfully work was good yesterday, no new cases, and the short meeting that was scheduled was rescheduled. Got everything ready for being off, although as I typically do I worried I had missed something

Rest of the day was nice, met my church friends D and T for dinner at a local place

Today will do some bird watching, then plan to get laundry done and meet my friend J downtown to see a movie, The Death of Robin Hood. Will also do some more packing

Will be a bit warmer today, in the upper 70s

Welllllll, I did get a few things done towards TheBigMove. The fun part was going through ANOTHER box of photos. WHY did I, or whomever gave these to me, always get duplicates developed?? I can't even tell you how many photos I have tossed into the SHREDDING pile. I thought I might just go ahead and shred them myself, but my poor shredder is deader than dead! I think the bag of photos I have to shred is heavier than ANY of the other bags I need to take to the shredding place. Haven't been able to locate any FREE shredding events. Oh well, there is still time, so I can keep looking!

I haven't seen or heard from the guy buying the tools, etc. I did leave him two different text messages over the last few weeks. but it has occurred to me that maybe the phone # I have is no longer HIS! So, in that case SOMEONE has rec'd a few incomprehensible messages! Oh well! Anyway, I'm not worried because I know where he lives! Hahahahaha!

I've also read all the packing tips the POD company sent me. They said 10 days 'til the POD is delivered here! YIKES! Then there will be 7 days for me to to pack it up. They also said that there is always an automatic time in which the pods are stored at the facility closest to the new address, like a month, which is already included in the cost of shipping. Who knows why! I think it is a just-in-case window of time, so the movees will be at the place they are moving to, when their POD is delivered.

I will have to leave my step-dgt a message that if she wants the stuff she wanted set aside for her, the window for getting them is getting shorter.I don't think she knows her Nannie is in a nsg home for good now, and she probably is still p.o'd thinking I will inherit the house, so I will have to send her a REALITY CHECK, I am going to try my damndest to be ..... um, well, NOT snide or sarcastic, and just tell her what's been going on. (since she no longer seems to care about how her Nannie is getting along. But I will not say that!) I thought about sending her a message saying "Come out, come out, where-ever you are! NOBODY is inheriting the house, so you can stop hating me, now. And you'll never have to see or talk to me again, because I am moving out-of-state; and if you want to know anything about your Nannie you will have to call your Aunt (my SiL)." But, like I said, I will merely send her the plain facts without any editorializing: Just this: "Nannie broke her pelvis in two places, and her tailbone as well. She is not rehab-able and is in a nsg home permanently. The house is being sold on July 10th, so you will have to come pick your stuff up before the 8th of July". I hope she is not expecting the bed she used when she stayed with her Grandparents during many of the summers, because I am taking it with me.

BiL put slats on the frame and then a 1/2" thick piece of plywood over that, into which he carved a handy-dandy hand-hold, to make it easier for me to handle on my own. So it will be like a platform bed like I am used to sleeping on. But, you know, the 'firm' mattress for which my BiL and SiL paid 2/3rds of the cost?....You can't flip the mattress OVER and rotate the indentations that happen due to sleeping in the same position all the time. I have turned it end on end, but because I sit in bed reading so much, there is now a butt-spaced sinking hole on either end of the mattress! Geeze! (oh well.)

I still have to get on the stick and toss a lot more stuff out and pack some stuff up ahead of time. I go through spells of not hurrying, and then dashing about here and there, worried I won't have it all done in time. Like Grampa used to say "It'll all come out in the wash."

I have to take Tinker out for a trot around the yard, once the weather report comes on TV. I am asking anyone of y'all who might be inclined to pray, please PRAY that the weather is CLEAR when I have to take Tinker and my stuff to Fla in my car! Unless there is an entire storm system going on, since I will be leaving here mid-morning, and am hoping to get there before any of the usual afternoon t-storms, things will be SMOOth, with a Capital SMOO! // Oh, the weather guy says that this whole week is going to be around the 90's and humid. Still practicing for the Florida weather!

Later, y'all!

Joe glad you had a good day.

Stars, good luck in the coming days. I love how you talk sometimes "trot around the yard". My Iggies and I would strut. LOL

I had a decent day at work but was bothered by a couple of things that I'll keep to myself for now as I process them. Not sure if I'm being sensitive or being made fun of. Will process it. Day one of three in a row. Ugh......
