Specialties NICU

Hello and thank you for reading my post. Any help or advice will be appreciated.

I currently work in a NICU in NY State. I am in the upper 60K range which includes my base and night differential bonus. I'm checking other states surrounding me for salary comparisons if I decide to move. First, is there any website or information anyone may have to help me determine what my salary would be in other states? Also, if feeling comfortable, is there anyone who can tell me their salary (ballpark)? I have 1 year experience and I'm RN-ASN/ADN.

Thanks very much

Michelle

That's the link I provided in the 2nd post ^

Thanks for the posts

I checked out salary.com but it is not accurate. At least not in my situation. It seems to me like real-life responses from nurses in a NICU in PA would be most helpful. Thats if anyone feels comfortable enough posting this info.

Thanks again

Maybe try the PA forum? I know here there's no difference in pay based on speciality areas alone, it depends more on your experience and various other factors.

Also, check out different hospitals and contact a recruiter .... that's where you'll get the most reliable information, rather than asking strangers how much money they make.

Good luck.
