any former Rutgers Nursing students....or soon the be Rutgers nursing students out there? I have looked for RU students on this board before, but haven't had any luck.....just thought I would try again!
I just found out I was admitted to their 2nd degree program. I am already a Rutgers Alum and I love the school, let's just hope I love the nursing program as much.

I am currently in the second degree nursing program at rutgers.
Overall, the program is good but there are some pros and cons. The program goes by very quickly. Make sure that you brush up on your A&P skills because you will need them.
The professors are great.
I got my first degree at rutgers also, however, I had 4 yrs compared to 14 months! If you are serious about nursing and are willing to put in the work, you will be fine! good luck!

I graduated from Rutgers CON in Newark in 03. I transferred for my BSN after becoming an RN. The school is not without it's flaws but it is a fine school. Although it wan't until after i graduated that i learned that i wasn't a scarlet knight in Newark - I was a Scarlet Raider (and those in Camden are Scarlet Raptors).

To Meggers or Lvv,
I am a student in Rutgers current ABSN program. I was wondering, after you finished classes- when was the earliest you could take your NCLEX?
Classes end in August but they say that transcripts don't post until October. When do they send info out to the state? When were you able to sit for your test, and subsequently, when did you start working?
Thank you! :)
