Rush GEM waitlist

I applied to Rush GEM for Summer 2010 and they notified me that my application is placed on the wait list.I understand that there is no guarantee of admission but still want to be hopeful and would like to know if anybody has been in the waiting list and got admission.I did well in my interview.My GPA was 3.50.I do not have any nursing volunteering experience but I have 5years of work experience in the microbiology field.Now while I am in the waiting list if I go for nursing volunteering (it was not required for application) will it strengthen my admission?Please give me some thoughts.

    Hi Sarana,

    I was just wondering if you got in or not or did anything to improve your chances, I got waitlisted for the winter 2011 start. They haven't notified us what rank we are yet, though. Do you happen to know how many people on the waitlist got in?

    I know, I can't decide if it's worse than being not accepted, since now we're in limbo longer...I hope a lot of people decide to go somewhere else, b/c I really just want to go to Rush! Let me know if you hear anything somewhere else. I'd like to atleast know our chances.

    yeah I know I feel the same way. Also I'm pretty low on the ranking so my chances of getting in are pretty slim. Did you apply anywhere else?

    I'm applying to Depaul and even looking into ABSN programs. I have to stay in Chicago b/c I have a little one and don't want to drag her around. What about you? BTW - I'm low on the list too, so not getting my hopes up, other than hoping a lot of people decide to go somewhere else!

    I ended up not applying to DePaul, b/c gpa isn't good enough from my BA. I couldn't figure out the PM either! Have you talked to Rush at all? Are the moving down the list yet? Hope all's well - good luck!
