ROTC and Grades

I know it's a lot to read but any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking time to help!

I want to become a nurse very badly but I also want to join the military whether I'm a nurse or not. I'm still deciding between the Navy and the Air Force.

I really wanted to enlist then become and officer, but ive decided to go go college so i dont put it off. I'm interested in ROTC because I feel it would prepare for the military life as well as becoming an officer.

I'm skipping my junior year of high school because I completed extra classes through the cc. I thought graduating a year early with honors (hopefully high honors) would give me a competitive edge to get a ROTC scholarship, but I got a D first semester in my freshmen honors geometry class (got a B second semester) and a D in one of my cc classes.

What kind of grades does the ROTC scholarship board look at? Do they look at 9-12 grades or just GPA? I'll most likely retake the cc college if I can fit it into my busy schedule. I'll be taking 3 AP classes and 2 honors my senior year and really want to do well....

Please anyone tell me about my chances of getting into NROTC or AFROTC. What can I do to improve my chances? I also did marching band and I play the oboe. I've been in honor band several years.

Any help appreciated

Kate
