Any Accepted Roseman Fall 2013 applicants? Just wanted to meet you all! Anyone absolutely sure that they'll be attending? I'm still waiting for some CA colleges...

Hey no I'm still awaiting my response. When did u interview? ( mine was march 19th). Which schools in Cali did u apply to and what brought u to want to go to Roseman? I'm from Cali myself... but went to UNLV for my pre reqs.

Hey I just interviewed march 19th... awaiting reply. What colleges are u waiting to hear from in Cali? and what made u choose Roseman. I'm from Cali myself... but did my pre reqs @ UNLV.

I heard the program redesigned the way they teach. If you are currently in the program could you please tell me about testing and how the program is?

Sure. As of last April ( after many of us have accepted our acceptance letters) the head of the school announced that the nursing program will no longer have group points during remediation ( a decision not supported by faculty!). How the testing works is a bit tricky.

#1You take the exam then

#2 you re-take it with your assigned group

#3 you " challenge" questions- meaning if you thought a question on the exam had two possible answers or what ever other issue you state this on paper and MUST use book or slide references to support your claim.

#4 you come back in about 2 hours and get your results. If your group got at least a 90% when re-taking the exam you will get 5% added to your individual score.

IF YOU DID NOT SCHORE 90% OR ABOVE YOU MUST REMEDIATE.

During remediation you take the exam and you get a challenge period, BUT no group points.

IF you do not pass remediation with 90 or above you do NOT go onto clinical and you must Supper remediate ( only allowed once per supper remediation period). If you don't get 90 or above at that point you are kicked out of the program till next year.

Each block differs in the amount of exams you must pass but usually its two written and a clinical skills video.

Hope that helps.

Are you in the traditional or absn program?

Thanks for responding! When the admission advisor told me i get to challenge the exam open book, i thought that meant i redo the whole exam open book. Not true?

Also, do you think the program is doable?

I'd like to PM you to ask more, but im not allowed to bc im new to this forum.

Do you mind answering all of my questions please?

how hard is it to get a 90% on tje exam? Is that doable the majority of the time?

what types of questions did they asknyou at the interview?
