I don't feel like I have a lot of role models, but if I had to pick one--I would say my older sister. She is 10 years older than me and she teaches the 3rd grade. She lives in Mass. and I live in Florida, so I don't get to see her that often. However, she put herself through college and a few master programs--she just had a baby and she works hard. I guess she has always been a role model for me because I want to succeed also. I think a role model can be anyone (even a celebrity) who inspires you to do better.

I think my nursing role model will be my boyfriend's mother because they came over from Bosnia, knowing NO English at all, and she put herself through college and is now an RN :nurse:. I just think to myself, "If she can overcome all of these things, then I can make it through ____" (fill in the class or whatever).
