RNFA pay & misc.

hello folks,

im new to this site and wanted to get some info. I am looking to get into NP school and get my certification as an RNFA. I would like to word as independent contractor. I have read AORN latest article about pay for different types of specialities including RNFAs, but wanted to know what the REAL WORLD pay is???? full time? part time?

got tons more questions but that should suffice for now.

Nurse Practioner and CRNFA are two quite different titles. A nurse practioner will usually work with the surgeon in office, and at times accompany them to the OR. A CRNFA is a BSN RN that usually first assists in the OR alone. Pay will depend on a great many factors, such as experience, location, hospital, etc. I have seen a many more physican assistants first assist vs nurse practioners. Good luck!

I think it's only 2 extra bucks for an RNFA in our hospital.
