Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had information regarding delegation in Assisted Living. I have been an Emergency Department RN Manager for 15 years but now am helping out a local Assisted Living. There was a RN consult, but now I will be working there about 10 hours a week. I understand Washington State's delegation rules but am concerned about the fact I do not give any oral medications. They are giving by trained Nursing Assistants. Am I responsible for teaching them the oral medications, side effects, etc., since they have already been administering them? What about any new medications? I want to stay in my scope of practice and am wondering if anyone knows if this would be my responsibility?

Thanks for any information!
