RN or LVN program

Hi I am wanting some advice. I am just about done with my RN pre reqs. I have one more class to go(Micro) but my school requires a minimum gpa to apply of 2.5. My grades have been about all C's so my gpa is right on the borderline right now. My school is on a lottery system. My question is, should I continue on with finishing up the RN pre reqs and retake a class and get that minimum gpa to apply (also my school also only allows one repeat) or should I shoot for the LVN program first?

Good day:

If you just have one more class to do, I would say do it; and, be sure to do your best to get the highest score.

Does retaking a class substitute the highest grade received? Or would both grades add into the GPA? If the former, it might make sense; if the latter, it might not help that much unless you got a 4.00.

Thank you.

Thanks pmabraham for the reply. If I retook a class, it would sub the highest grade received. Im so confused on what to do. I know nursing is so competitive so I am literally calling around all CA to see who accepts the lowest gpa of a 2.0.
