RN Looking to Return to Acute Care – Advice Welcome!
Hi everyone,
I'm a licensed RN in Southern California looking to return to acute care nursing (med-surg/tele) after being away since 2020. I have previous hospital experience and am eager to get back into the field.
I'd love advice on:
Hospitals open to hiring nurses returning after a break
Refresher or re-entry programs in SoCal
Whether registry/per diem work could help as a first step
Recommended certifications beyond BLS/ACLS
If you've been through this or have any tips, please share — I'd really appreciate it!
