RN application process

Hi Nurses and fellow future Nurses!

I started my application process last month in hopes that I will be chosen to start fall '16. I am scheduled to take the TEAS V exam next month and I'm so nervous! I wish I could put it off but the Los Angeles county program has a deadline to complete it which is March 15th I believe. I need to pass with a 75% to earn extra points. Anyone else applying at County or Rio Hondo? Any feedback on the TEAS exam and was it hard?

I took the TEAS V this morning and got an 86% combined.

I studied about a month in advance and purchased the ATI study book. I read through every section. It is a lot of reading but it helps a lot! I did a practice exam in that book and got a 65%. I was pretty devastated! I took a practice exam online and got a 70%. I pretty much expected to get in that range on the actual exam. I was shocked when I got a high 80... Don't stress yourself out over the exam or what you get on practice exams. I surely did, and it wasn't worth it. Just study the material and you will be just fine! I think just knowing it was the REAL thing made my brain kick on full gear and I did better than I could have ever hoped for.

You got this! Good luck!

Thank you so much for the advice!!! I'm definitely a nervous wreck and I know I should bring it down a notch or two lol! I scored very low on the online exam (without studying) and plan on taking B in a few days before exam day. I just bought the ATI manual and I'm really hoping that the information inside corresponds with the actual exam
