has anyone applied to rio hondo rn program for fall 2013? has anyone been accepted into rio hondo rn program? if so what was your pre-reqs grades? mines aren't all that great that's why i am so worried i will not get in because my pre-reqs gpa is only 2.79...do i even have a chance at getting in? please advise...so stressed out :( im not a bad student... i just don't have the time to study like im supposed to...i am a working full time single mother with two children and couldn't dedicate my time to so much studying...i was lucky if i even got 10 hours of studying a week

I am so sorry that you are stressed out and have so little time to study, your grade is good in considerations of your 10 hours a week study, I really do not know about your chances to get in, I like to know about my chance too, at the information session, Ms Rivera said that even with grade of 4.0 will not be in without work or volunteering experiences.

thank you for your response...i really appreciate it...i can't stand how people think just because i have a low science gpa, im not smart enough for nursing school...that is so wrong...i have been through a lot while taking my science pre-reqs...i work full time for the county doing a very stressful job...my marriage is and has been on the rocks...babysitting coordination is struggle in itself...but i still pulled through somehow...and it sucks because my grades reflect a negative mark...but alls good..i will not give up..i will DO IT with God...thank you again...i hope you get in somewhere too...take care now

Did you apply to any lottery or waitlist schools? That would probably be your best bet if you are not retaking your science classes. I hope you don't think I'm making a judgment on your potential, but schools definitely judge us all on our grades and some schools won't even take under a 3.0 science GPA... I would definitely research the waitlist and lottery schools or retake your lowest science class.
