I am having the same problem as yours.I have already reschedule my exam 3 times. As i get closer to testing date i feel like i do not know enough to test.I guess we never feel 100% prepared for this exam.
Good luck to you
i know right? i also rescheduled it 3x. but this time i wanna get over it with so i can
move on to a higher career level, there are times that im confident about my scores
but there are times also that i suck with the practice test. im so confused right now.
hopefully with Gods help everything will be fine

To be honest, I'm going INSANE studying all day and night for the exam. Though I do take breaks here and there. I'll even take a day out of the week to NOT study.
The more I think about it, the more I think about pushing my date to an earlier date just to get it all over with. Because we'll never be truly prepared for the test now matter how much information we study.
i tried taking breaks but it made me feel very guilty. idk really what will happen nextwk.
i'm just trying to be positive & convincing myself that i'll be fine :)
I think as long as you stick to your study schedule, you'll be fine. Just review content and practice a lot of NCLEX-like questions. Try to gain confidence and new knowledge every time you study. I'm not letting anxiety get to me because it's either a pass or fail. If I fail, I can retake it within 45 days. If I pass... well.. then, good. Lol
yeah that's what i'm thinking if ever i fail (knock on wood. lol) im not gonna give up ill
take it again. lol. but still hopeful to make it through been working hard for it.
when do u plan to take?

Pre test anxiety can be brutal. I had a terrible time with it prior to the NCLEX. I had studied and was getting decent scores. I had so much info stored in my head it was ready to burst and i still fought anxiety. I was surprised because I am usually pretty calm before tests. I think we build this one up to be worse than it is. If you have followed your schedule, are getting decent scores, and have a good content base, then go for it!! Don't keep putting it off. I am so thankful my husband practically forced me not to reschedule. I would have put it off and had to go through weeks more agony.
I'm taking mine in about 4 weeks. I've been studying for 3.5 weeks mostly everyday. I seriously might push it to an earlier date because this is driving me nuts (not the anxiety, but just the endless amount of information behind basics of nursing). I was having anxiety before I signed up for the actual exam date, but it's decreased significantly now lol
I totally agree with you morningstarRN. People perceive the board exam to be worse than how it actually seems. Personally, I've never taken it but from reading various posts, people seem to assume the worst about the exam.
Assume the worst when answering questions on the NCLEX exam, but don't assume the worst about how your experience will go on the actual exam.

when you feel like you cant study any more, when you know you have covered a number of questions and you are getting at least 60% of the questions...when you understand most of the basic disease process..and symptoms...i feel like i studied so hard to the point i started forgetting things i couldn't even put PPE in the right order :)

Study like it's your job, do a bunch of practice questions, and don't put off the test any longer than necessary. I graduated the second week of December 2010, took off three weeks or so and started studying around the 7th of January. I took my NCLEX around Feb 25th or so, and I passed. I did an accelerated BSN program and graduated with a 3.75 on a 4.0 scale. Hope this gives some perspective. Best of Luck. You can do it! :w00t::w00t:
