Retaking classes at another college

Hello,

I got a C in microbiology lecture at SPC and was wondering if I can retake it at another college. I went to HCC (Dale Mabry) and they told me I can't retake it if I got a C or higher in any classes. Should I just apply to the SPC nursing program anyway? Does anyone know any other school that would let me retake micro and transfer the grade to SPC?

Thank you for reading this, and I appreciate all the advice. :)

If you haven't done so, you should review the policy at SPC regarding retaking a class, and which grade they will use.

Hi Chare, thank you for your advice.

I already check with SPC academic adviser, and they told me I can't retake the class if I got a C or higher. I think I can only retake a class with a final grade of D or F.

It's not whether HCC will "transfer" a grade, it's whether SPC will allow you to replace the grade for the class that you've already taken. If they won't let you retake the course at SPC since you have a passing grade there, I doubt that they will accept a class taken at HCC. This is the situation you need to present to your academic advisor as only he or she can answer this question.
