Resume question

I was an LPN but am now an RN. Once I passed my RN boards, I never renewed my LPN license so it expired. On my resume, I have a section to list any licenses and certifications. Should I list the LPN in addition to the RN even thought the LPN has expired. I want to give myself credit in someway for the LPN. I have my job experiences as LPN listed but there's no other way to idicate WHEN I obtained my LPN other than the licenses/cert section.

I would not list your LPN under the licenses and certifications section, as it would create the appearance of it being current. I suppose you could list it as "formerly held" and give the dates.

Do you have your LPN program listed under your education section? If not, you could place it there.

I would not list the LPN license unless you indicate somehow that it is expired. The way Jolie describes sounds good to me. It allows you to show that you held that license while at the same time acknowledging that it is not currently active.

I would not list the license but if you list the work experience from former jobs that you worked as an LPN I think it would be apparent that you were an LPN.

I was a Certified Phlebotomist here in CA, it expired a couple of months before I took my RN boards...you read my resume you know what my skills were.
