Im a 3rd year nursing student and I want to apply for undergraduate jobs, is it appropriate "resume etiquette" to use work experience with family? Last summer i worked for my brother and sister in-law as a paid respite worker for their two daughters one who had a heart transplant and the other with a severe congenital heart defect. i gained a ton of valuable experience such as administering medications, inserting and feeding through ng tube, etc. Am i free to put this all on my resume even though i was working with family?? Thanks!

I would just leave that part out. You do not have to indicate that it was for your family. You could just put "respite worker" and for employer just put something like "independent contract". The most important piece is to communicate the skills that you obtained during that time. You can always explain during the interview .
