Any respirology nurses who can give advice how to be successful as a new graduate/ novice nurse. Recently accepted a casual Rn position on this unit. I assume orientation will be short.
I am reviewing common medications and assessment skills
but what else could I consider

Look up medcram lectures on YouTube.com. You will find lectures on multiple topics including asthma, copd, acid/base disorders, and ventilator.
I'm a critical care nurse, but we work closely with lung doctors (pulmonologists) and respiratory therapists to take care of unstable patients with lung diseases.
Thank you I will be sure to look this up!
You're welcome!
