Research in Nursing

Hey everyone!

I am reaching out today in hopes to gain some personal insight on the world of a Research Nurse. I am a BSN RN that has been working in Pediatric Oncology and BMT for a little over 3 years now with 5 years experience in total. I have been thinking about going back for my DNP for a while but don't necessarily like what I see as the job role of a NP in the Peds Oncology and/or BMT world. That decrease in interest has then lead me to the idea of getting a Masters in Research to be apart of Oncology Research and go Per Diem at the bedside.

I would love to hear any opinions on Nursing Research in Oncology but am open to insight on Research in general. :)

Thanks!
