  1. Hey everyone! I am reaching out today in hopes to gain some personal insight on the world of a Research Nurse. I am a BSN RN that has been working in Pediatric Oncology and BMT for a little over 3 years now with 5 years experience in total. I have been thinking about going back for my DNP for a while but don't necessarily like what I see as the job role of a NP in the Peds Oncology and/or BMT world. That decrease in interest has then lead me to the idea of getting a Masters in Research to be apart of Oncology Research and go Per Diem at the bedside. I would love to hear any opinions on Nursing Research in Oncology but am open to insight on Research in general. :) Thanks!
  2. Hey everyone, I have been on this page reading blogs previously but just decided to join today as I am about to embark on a new journey in my Nursing career. I have always loved to travel and have been all over the world volunteering as nurse as well as kept a steady staff RN position in surgical/pediatrics here in Wisconsin. Starting in January I am going to start traveling nursing. Right now I am thinking I am pretty set on Flex Care Medical Staffing as my agency. Does anyone have any advice regarding the agency or traveling as a nurse in general? I guess I am at the point where there is so much information thrown at me right now I am not even sure the specific questions to be asking at the moment. Would love to speak to someone with experience to give me some insight. Thanks!
