Research experiences

Published

In order to write an article for a Dutch paeditric nursing magazine I would like to know about research experiences of nurses doing research.

I plan to interview some nurses about their experiences but I would like to know if there are any publications in magazines or on the web which deal with the real experiences of nurses.

I am a nurse and sociologist and write together with an other nurse.

We want to write about quantitative research.

I am looking for accounts of experiences with the PRACTICE of doing research; planning, informing staff members, getting cooperation, asking consent, gathering material, maintaining cooperation.

I hope for suggestions where to find accounts. What would also be helpfull is accounts of participants of this forum.

Thank you,

You might find it in The Monitor, a publication put out by ACRP (Association of Clinical Research Professionsals). I believe it is only available with paid membership of a certified research professional though. You might be able to get your hands on it through a library or something. I am a pediatric research coordinator. I would be happy to answer specific questions that you may have.
