Relocation before taking NCLEX

My husband was just diagnosed with Post Viral Transverse Myeletis, his diagnosis came after a stressfull week in the hospital and a very difficult week in nursing school. His mother came to help us and his father offered his help financially. Well we have decided today that it is best for our family that we move to Northern New York so his family can help in his recovery and in the care of our 4 year old daughter when I beginmy career as an LPN.

The problem is I graduate from my program December 9th God willing and they want us to move up there shortly after. This does not give me enough time to get my records straight and take the NCLEX. I was wondering if anyone had any experience taking the NCLEX in a state other then the one they took their program in and if so if they could share that experience with me. I am nervous as I am going to be leaving Florida, my family, and everything I have ever known to be with my husband and his family. I know this is going to make me feel isolated and I will have to network all over again to get a job once I do get my license but I am willing to do what I need to for the betterment of my family. Thank you in advance for any advice given.

While the other students are having their transcripts to Florida, you have yours sent to New York as that is where you want your license. You need to go to the New York Board of Nursing's website and find out what you need to send to them.
