Relocation

Hello all! New to this board and thought I'd drop in to find out about relocation to New York City or state.

I am an LVN in California who would like to relocate back East and would anyone have any guidelines for me? I've got the papers for liscensure already but what about employment .....what hospitals employ LPN's and do they help with relocation? What about staffing agencies.....is that a good way to go?

Anyway....hope to hear from all nurses who could give me some feedback!

Ive seen some ads for LPNs. There are lots advertised by staffing agencies for home care, hospice, nursing homes, and some hospitals. Check the job opportunity newspaper classifieds online - NY Times, NY Daily News, NY Post. My hospital has 2 open LPN positions posted -- for units that "for some reason" they cant keep staffed. And they do not offer a dime of relocation assistance either. A travel agency might be able to offer you a better deal on that.
