Relocation to Orlando area

In the next 2 years, my husband and I are relocating to the Orlando area from Mississippi. Can anyone recommend to us a good area to live in? We may rent first, so any suggestions as far as apartment complexes would be appreciated. Also, does anyone work at Winnie Palmer and how easy is it to get a full time position in the NICU there? I currently have 5 years of NICU experience and am training in transport. Thanks!!!

What's nice about Orlando is you can really tell the good neighborhoods from the not-so-good ones. I used to live in Orlando and my brother has been living there for about six years so I know the Orlando area pretty well. Near UCF you are going to get A LOT of college kids and student apartment complexes where it is nothing but students. Be wary of that! haha....parts of Orlando I would stay away from is OBT (Orange Blossom Trail, 441) near downtown. When you drive down it you may see the difference...near I-Drive (International Drive) is great but can be pricey because it is right around all the attractions. Plus you will have to deal with the traffic of the tourists, etc. That is on the west side of Orlando. If you want more inexpensive but a good neighborhood, look to the north Orlando. Hope this helps!
