Relocating...need advice

My husband will be graduating this winter and has a few job opportunities we are considering. All of them involve moving a significant distance from where we live now. I would really like to find out more about the hospitals in each area because that will really help us make the decision where to move, but I'm not really sure how that would work. I mean, I've found out what I can online, but is there a way you can scope out a place and ask questions before you actually apply? I'm not sure where to start, I guess.

thanks

Post here where you are moving and what locations you are considering working at. The amount of nurses that are here on this site, surely there are some who either work, have worked as travelers, or know someone who works at the sites you are curious about.

Good luck

You could try the local forums. I'm from MI and used the VA forum to find info about the hospital and where to look for housing before I went out to visit. I'd expect that you'd get responses to your questions on other local boards. Good Luck!
